Project Log:  Saturday, March 2, 2013

With other plans for much of the weekend, it was a short day in the shop, but I was anxious to install the now-finished trim for the pilothouse overhead.  During the week, I varnished the trim surrounding the  large hatch opening, applying several coats of gloss and ending with my usual satin rubbed-effect, and applied many coats of tung oil to the overhead trim pieces.

I'd trim out the overhead in the main cabin and forward cabin the same way, one of many remaining and upcoming jobs ahead.
